Chenango Forks Dollars for Scholars, located in the Greater Binghamton, NY Region, was founded in 1990 as the Chenango Forks Scholarship Foundation, a Dollars for Scholars® Chapter affiliated with Scholarship America®. Our name changed in 2013.  Chenango Forks Dollars for Scholars is a tax-exempt charitable organization under IRS Regulation 501(c)(3).  Those who provide financial support for Chenango Forks Dollars for Scholars may be able to qualify their gifts as tax-deductible contributions.

The Purpose of Chenango Forks Dollars for Scholars is to grant scholarships to Chenango Forks District residents who are graduating seniors whether at Chenango Forks High School, home schooled, or paying tuition to another school to support their continuing education.  Rising costs are closing doors to higher education for many individuals in our community.  Through Dollars for Scholars, we make a strong statement about the importance of education beyond high school by providing encouragement and financial support for our students.

To raise funds to provide awards for our graduating students, Chenango Forks Dollars for Scholars invites our community to support and participate in a variety of fundraising activities.  Students, parents, school staff, community members and businesses are welcome to offer their time, energy, ideas and dollars to support this important endeavor.  Your participation makes you an official member of Chenango Forks Dollars for Scholars.

Scholarship Applications for 2024 Awards

This is the tenth year with the Dollars for Scholars software tool, provided by Scholarship America (the national scholarship organization that we're a part of).  This software will move our chapter's scholarships online and will allow us to be more efficient with our awarding process.  On-line scholarship application for qualifying students is open from September 30,2023 through April 30, 2024.  Go to the student/parent login page now for additional information and to begin the application process.

 

HOW TO ACCEPT YOUR AWARD

To accept your Dollars for Scholars award you will need to access your Chenango Forks Dollars for Scholars account.  Click here for  instructions on how to accept your award. 

Your Acceptance must be completed by June 30, 2024.
